We are extremely happy to announce that Visionect made it as one of the Mini Seedcamp Zagreb winners. Mini Seedcamp Zagreb is a one day event aiming to connect the 20 best web-tech, mobile and software talents with some of the leading entrepreneurs, developers, and experts from the European tech ecosystem.

We had an opportunity to meet and network with many interesting and very talented startups, entrepreneurs, and investors who gave us some great feedback and many ideas on how to make our products even better. Many thanks to the Seedcamp team for the great event!

We are thrilled to announce that Visionect has just been named as one of the 20 finalists of the Mobile Premier Awards that will take place in Barcelona on February 15, 2010.

The finalists were chosen by an international jury of the most recognized mobile industry experts. We will pitch our project at the Mobile Premier Awards event that will take place in Barcelona, at the Petit Palau of Palau de la Musica in front of investors, operators, media companies, peer entrepreneurs, and press and influential bloggers.

Visionect is the first MobileMonday Slovenia (MoMoSlo) winner and will be representing MoMoSlo at the Mobile Premiere Awards, the largest startup competition in the mobile World, in the Category of Innovation.

Mobile Monday is a global community of mobile industry visionaries, developers and influentials fostering cooperation and cross-border business development through virtual and live networking events to share ideas, best practices and trends from global markets.

Simgularis, a startup accelerator company providing strategic and tactical positioning to startups, has in cooperation with Slovenian Technology Agency (TIA) presented best entrepreneurial business ideas. Visionect is one of the winners of the so-called BoundBreaker project.

4th Slovenian Forum of Innovation has successfully come to an end. Visionect has been acknowledged as one of the most innovative companies from Slovenia in 2009. Two products from Visionect, the BPS system and the WorkSense Sensor System, were selected as one of the 30 best Slovenian innovations in 2009.

Visionect has launched a new web page Visionect Electronics to promote electronic paper products and other products developed by Visionect ltd.

Since our establishment we have offered R&D support to companies that lack own R&D resources or competences.

This was our first public demo, that proved the concept we designed and implemented. There are some rough edges that need to be polished, but the smile on our users proved that we are on the right track. All findings - positive and negative - are already converted into software requests and are currently under implementation which will be launched mid december.

DEMOFall 08 Conference, San Diego and Mountain View, CA, - Plastic Logic previewed their first electronic reading device with revolutionary plastic electronics display.

According to Plastic Logic they are using the standard e-ink technology for the frontplane. The backplane (what turns the ink on and off) uses Plastic Logic’s proprietary plastic (not a widely used TFT backpanel) electronic technology that enables the large, thin, lightweight and robust form factor. Size of the display is 8.5 X 11 is thinner than a pad of paper and lighter than many business periodicals.

The device is capable of browsing documents in PDF format as well as Word, Excel and PowerPoint files. Devices battery life will supposable be measured in days and will also have a wireless connectivity.

The Plastic Logic reader is scheduled to ship in the first half of 2009.

3rd Slovenian Forum of Innovation is a Central Slovenian event which purpose is to promote and support development of innovation, innovative companies and innovative business environment. Special focus will be on 30 best Slovenian innovations and 10 most innovative companies which will be selected by the diverse team of experts covering every field of business.

Seedcamp is an intensive week-long event held in September in London targeted at young entrepreneurs from across EMEA. Once a year Europe’s top young founders and a world class network of mentors are brought together in one place.

Based on send applications, 20 teams (companies) will be selected to participate in the event. Focus of Seedcamp week is to provide an incredible experience for these selected teams while a diverse mentor network of serial entrepreneurs, corporates, product designers, venture capitalists, recruiters, marketing specialists, lawyers and accountants will help the selected teams to put together the foundations of a viable business. For this 20 “lucky” teams decision will fall on 25th of August. Good Luck!
